Stage setup

What Menny needs from the venue

Technical requirements

Laptop
Menny prefers to present from his own laptop, a Windows PC (not a Mac) with an HDMI output. The laptop should be next to him on stage while he presents, with a power outlet.
If the venue’s computer is used
He needs a presenter view visible to him on stage.
Slides
The slides are in 16:9. They are also stored in the cloud, in case there is an issue with the laptop.
Clicker
He brings his own clicker. If the venue’s clicker is used, please make sure there is no delay: less than half a second between the click and the slide change.
Sound
The talks usually include video clips, so the laptop’s audio must be connected to the hall’s sound system. Audio over HDMI or a separate audio cable both work.
Microphone
In a large hall he needs a microphone, preferably a wireless handheld.
Internet
Not needed, except for special sessions such as a hacking demo.
Sound check
No specific requirement. The organizers decide the timing.
Questions
Menny invites the audience to ask questions during the presentation. A separate Q&A session can be added if the organizers want one.
Recording and streaming
No recording or streaming without official approval.
Virtual talks
No specific requirements.
